Aspecific gravity bottle(also known as apycnometer) is a laboratory glassware used to measure thespecific gravity(ordensity) of liquids or solids. It is a precise tool that allows for the determination of the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of water (typically at 4C, where water has its maximum density).

1. Shape: Typically a small,glass bottlewith a narrow neck and a precisely known volume. It is often designed with a stopper that is used to seal the bottle after filling it with the liquid or solid whose specific gravity is being measured.
